Letter from Dr. Harker

January 30, 2023

To my valued clients and their pets,

It is with a heavy heart to announce that I will be taking an extended sabbatical beginning March 24, 2023. As a result, I will no longer be practicing at Crofton Veterinary Center. I regret that I was not able to share this news with every client personally. After 18 years practicing in the Crofton community, I have developed close relationships with many of you and your families.  After a great deal of consideration, I’ve decided to take a break to explore personal interests. Over the past several months, my emotions regarding this change have become real. While I am looking forward to the new journey, my feelings are bittersweet when I think about leaving my Crofton Veterinary Center family and friends. I have sincerely appreciated the opportunity to care for your pets. In addition to providing exceptional veterinary care, I have enjoyed intense sports banter (Fly Eagles Fly!) and sharing stories about our families. These chats will be missed.

Looking forward, Crofton Veterinary Center’s own Dr. Russell has accepted the position of Chief of Staff for Crofton Veterinary Center. I am confident that Dr. Russell will continue to provide the same quality care that you have come to expect. Since Crofton Veterinary Center is a busy practice caring for many pet families, adding veterinarians that share our core values is a top priority. In the interim, we have well-versed veterinarians that are lending a helping hand.

Again, I want to thank you for the privilege of caring for your four-legged family. Your trust and friendship are truly appreciated.

With gratitude,

Dr. Cynthia Harker
